Ghayeb is built local-first: your teams, players and attendance records live in a database on your device, not on our servers.

1. Data stored on your device only

The following never leaves your device unless you export or share it:

• Teams and their settings (names, reminder times and days)
• Player records you enter or import: name, phone number, guardian phone number, email, age
• Daily attendance records and history
• App preferences (language, theme, admin name)

We cannot see, access or recover this data. Deleting the app (or using Settings → Delete Account) permanently erases it.

2. Data you send us

• Account activation (optional): to unlock reminders, history and player import/export, you register your phone number and email address. The phone number is verified with a one-time SMS code. These are sent to our servers and stored with your account.
• Contact request (optional): if you send us a contact request from the app, we receive your name, phone number, email and app language so we can get back to you.
• We do not upload your teams, players, attendance data or contacts.

3. Device permissions

• Contacts (optional): used only when you choose “Import from Contacts”, to let you pick players. Selected names/numbers are saved locally as player records. Your contact list is never uploaded. The app works fully without this permission.
• Notifications (optional): used for the attendance reminders you schedule. Reminders are local notifications created on your device.

4. Third-party services

• Push notifications: if enabled in a future release, push messages are delivered via OneSignal (a push provider), which processes a device push token to deliver them.
• We use no analytics or tracking SDKs.

5. Children

Ghayeb is a tool for coaches and academy administrators (adults). Player records — which may relate to minors — are entered by the coach and stored only on the coach’s device; we do not receive them. Coaches are responsible for having the right to record this information.

6. Data retention & deletion

• Local data: retained until you delete it, delete the app, or use Settings → Delete Account (irreversible).
• Account data (phone, email): retained while your account exists. Delete Account also requests deletion of your server-side account record.
• Contact requests: retained as long as needed to respond to you.

7. Security

Local data is protected by your device’s security (passcode/biometrics, sandboxing). Requests to our servers use HTTPS. No system is 100% secure; keep your device protected and updated.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
